A video on the TED website called “Is It Really That Bad to Eat Cookie Dough?” is about the potential risks of consuming of raw cookie dough. In my personal opinion, I find cookie dough delicious and enjoyable; especially paired with an engaging movie. However, I might want to reconsider this idea after watching this video. The potential risks of consuming raw cookie dough are extremely high, but there is a solution to this harmful threat.
Salmonella is a deadly type of bacteria that can cause food poisoning and often food borne illnesses. This is often transmitted through contaminated food or water, particularly raw or undercooked meat and eggs; “[s]almonella infects millions worldwide each year, causing fever, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. And these effects can be extreme” (Bryce). The effects of Salmonellosis could last for about 4 to 7 days, without seeking proper medical treatment one may experience longer-lasting effects. However, when purchasing eggs that have been tested and cured for Salmonella; therefore the risks are reduced. Although, one must proceed with caution; mainly for his or her own safety. The risks of Salmonella are far greater than consuming this delectable treat, therefore one might want to reconsider before nibbling on this uncooked blend of cookie ingredients.
Overall, I am not opposed to the enjoyment of snacking on raw cookie dough; though I would highly recommend to remain mindful of the potential risks of consuming this raw treat. On the final note, always remain cautious when purchasing meat products, especially when it comes to eggs.

So many demands are placed upon our time, we often don't have the leisure time required to become fully engrossed in a lengthy novel. Despite this, there is a solution: mini books. (I, a lover of all things miniature, am intrigued by this concept.) "Mini books are designed to be consumed in one or two sittings, which is exactly what today’s busy readers love” (Thompson). Do ...
