This evening I decided to read " How to Draw A Horse (Poorly, But Sincerely )" by Brad Montague, this article was quite captivating. However, it left me pondering about the concept. Today I read "Technology, the Cause of Possible Mutilation and the Murder of Small Talk" , which is about the harsh reality of modern use of technology. I couldn't agree more with Ijeoma Anaka, who is the author of this article. Not only does technology, such as iPhones, Laptops, and etc damage our social skills, but also our ability to communicate with others. Studies have also shown that not only does technology has a negative affect on one's social skills, but also along with one's physical health. Today I felt my first chill of spooky season, especially with October around the corner. I usually find myself enjoying a cup of coffee, whilst reading a eerie story such as this one around this time of year. For my "first" blog, I decided to read "The Sound a Rabbit Might Make" by Bruce McAllister. However, this story left me pondering on what could happen next. Would he actually kill his girlfriend and her lover...or was he just delirious? Would he actually kill her over the death of the rabbit? I believe the death of the rabbit reminded the narrator of the death of his recently deceased daughter. Rabbits are often seen as innocent and gentle creatures, therefore they often symbolize one's childhood and their innocence. The narrator briefly mentions his owning rabbits as a young child, whilst his parents were still together.
